Issika is a community-based NGO located in Okolassi, Gabon, founded around a sacred Bwiti Misoko temple led by Grand Master Moubeyi Bouale and Vincent Maghamou. This land is a living spiritual center where ancestral wisdom, ceremony, and cultural education have been preserved for generations.
As urban development continues to expand toward the community, Issika faces an urgent need to purchase and protect nearby forest land. Securing this land is essential to ensure that sacred ceremonies, initiations, and ancestral teachings can continue in their rightful environment.
Supported by Blessings of the Forest and Sacred Roots Foundation, the project will include agroforestry, iboga cultivation, youth training, and a traditional school, ensuring the preservation and transmission of Bwiti wisdom for future generations.
